This review highlights the role of iodine deficiency and micronutrient deficiencies in the development of bone tissue disorders. Despite numerous studies, osteoporosis and osteopenia remain a pressing issue and remain incompletely understood. Despite significant advances in preventive measures, iodine deficiency remains a pressing issue, particularly in the development of thyroid dysfunction. Given that the Central Asian region can be considered endemic for iodine and micronutrient deficiencies, the problem of disruptions in the hypothalamic-pituitary system, thyroid status, and the development of osteopenia and osteoporosis is of significant interest.
