Annotatsiya

In this study, the lipid composition of the leaves of Senna angustifolia Vahl (Fabaceae), collected in May 2024 in the Surkhandarya region, was studied. Dried and ground leaf raw material was used for the study, in which total lipids (TL), neutral (NL), and polar lipid (PL) fractions were determined. NL were isolated by extraction with benzine (72–80°C), while glycolipids (GL) and phospholipids (PhL) were isolated using a chloroform–methanol mixture. The qualitative composition of lipid fractions was analyzed by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and column chromatography (CC). The content of carotenoids and chlorophylls was determined by the UV-spectrophotometric method, and the fatty acid composition was determined by gas chromatography (GC). According to the results of the study, the content of TL in the leaves of Senna angustifolia was 3.3%, while among PL, GL (4.9%) and PhL (1.7%) predominated. Among lipophilic substances, phytosterols (44.6%), terpenes (17.3%), hydrocarbons (16.3%), tocopherols (10.6%), and carotenoids (3.87%) were identified. In the fatty acid composition, a high proportion of palmitic, oleic, and linolenic acids was noted. The obtained results show that the leaves of Senna angustifolia are rich in biologically active lipid compounds.
