Annotatsiya

This study investigates the presence and quantitative content of thymoquinone in the press cake remaining after cold-pressed oil extraction from Nigella sativa L. seeds. The relevance of the research stems from the growing demand for resource-efficient and zero-waste technologies in the modern pharmaceutical industry, where plant-based raw materials play a crucial role. Quantitative analysis performed using HPLC demonstrated that the average thymoquinone content in the press cake is 0.569 mg/g. Moreover, efficient utilization of this by-product contributes to rational use of raw materials and supports the development of pharmaceutical substances, functional products, and feed additives within sustainable, waste-free processing technologies.
