Annotatsiya

This study assessed the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and kidney function in patients with prediabetes identified through screening. A total of 3,400 individuals at high risk were examined, and prediabetes was diagnosed in 262 participants. Glycemic parameters, kidney function, microalbuminuria, and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) were evaluated. The findings demonstrated that 26.3% of patients with prediabetes had stages 1–3 CKD. In addition, impaired kidney function was associated with arterial hypertension, obesity, and dyslipidemia. These results highlight the importance of screening programs for the early detection of prediabetes and chronic kidney disease among high-risk populations.
