Annotatsiya

The aim of this study was to assess renal function disorders in patients with prediabetes using clinical and laboratory methods. The study was conducted at the Andijan Regional Endocrinology Dispensary and included 55 patients aged 18–65 years with impaired carbohydrate metabolism and 20 healthy individuals as a control group. Patients were divided into groups with impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance, and combined disorders. General clinical, biochemical, hormonal, and instrumental examination methods were applied. The results demonstrated a significant increase in body mass index, systolic blood pressure, lipid profile parameters, C-reactive protein, and creatinine levels in patients with prediabetes compared with the control group (p<0.005). Prediabetes was associated with an increased risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, and heart failure. The obtained findings emphasize the importance of early detection of renal dysfunction and implementation of preventive strategies at the prediabetes stage.
