The article begins with thoughts on Erkin Samandar, who made a great contribution to the development of 20th-century Uzbek literature, and his novel "The Shore That Lost Its River." The expression of the concept of man and nature in the novel's plot is analyzed, and personal opinions are expressed. In elements such as exposition, knot, development of events, culmination, and solution, the relationship between nature and man is harmonious, and it is revealed with examples that not only ecology but also the spiritual ecology between people was disrupted in the 70s and 80s. The relationships between the main characters in the work, Ganja, Aminov, Buva, and the Amu Darya trampled by humanity, are shown. Erkin Samandar seeks to get to the deep roots of the problem of man and nature. This is mainly achieved through the artistic analysis of the relationships between people and one of the four elements, water (the water of the Amu Darya), and the horse community, which is given through several analyses.
