Relevance. Keratoconus is a common asymmetric and usually bilateral ectatic corneal disease characterizedby progressive corneal protrusion, resulting in reduced visual acuity and deterioration of optical properties. Purpose of thestudy. To study the possibilities of using various technologies for IRS implantation in keratoconus. Material and methods.The article presents a comparative analysis of data from patients with stage II and III keratoconus (32 patients, 32 eyes) afterimplantation of intrastromal corneal segments with femtosecond support and with manual IRS implantation. Results andconclusion. The refractive results gave comparatively similar vision patterns. The advantage of the femtosecond laser was thetechnical simplicity of the operation.
