The research is dedicated to the extraction of silver in powder form from electronic wastes and the selective separation of associated elements through the application of hydrometallurgical methods. The conducted study determined the initial chemical composition of the electrical engineering waste (wt.%): Si – 0.08, Al – 0.133, Fe – 0.021, Mg – 0.614, Cu – 0.005, Zn – 0.02, Ag – 46.9,Zr – 0.557, Ta – 0.004, Pb – 0.003, Mo – 0.002, S – 0.026. A system for the efficient extraction of metals with minimal losses was developed for the selective dissolution of metals such as Cu, Ni, Co, Zn, and Fe from the sorted secondary raw materials, using a 35% HNO₃ solution and lime. It was observed that the precipitation process of metal ions as hydroxides in a nitrate medium strongly depends on pH. The results of the experiments showed that in the extraction of metallic Ag from AgCl precipitate via the cementation method, Fe metal is a more preferable cementing agent compared to Zn metal. It was established that by processing electronic wastes using the cementation method, the silver contained within them can be extracted with a purity of 99.6%.
