This paper considers the problem of recovering the parameters of a partially isospectral Sturm–Liouville operator on a finite interval. It is shown that the proposed algorithm can be applied to solve certain types of Riccati equations, as well as the Goursat problem for an inhomogeneous hyperbolic-type equation.
