It is known that the climatic conditions of the basin are of great importance in the formation of the flow of all rivers in the world, among the natural geographical factors. In particular, climatic factors, namely atmospheric precipitation and air temperature, are the main factors in the formation of the flow of the Zarafshan River. Also, climatic factors directly affect the presence of solid rocks and dissolved substances in water in small or large quantities moving along with the river flow. The long-term regime and characteristic water consumption of the Zarafshan River, their changes in the base and current climatic periods, depending on meteorological data observed in a standard way at hydrometeorological stations, were considered.
