Annotatsiya

The mechanism of the paramagnetism effect is theoretically discussed. Various mechanisms of phonon scattering on different defects, which lead to a decrease in thermal conductivity, are explained within the framework of the Debye model. Experimental results are presented for the measurement of the thermal conductivity of polycrystalline ternary compounds CrLa4S7 and CrCe4S7 in the temperature range of 80–300 K. The difference (−Δχ) in the thermal conductivity of the CrLa4S7 crystal compared to CrCe4S7 is explained by the theory of resonant phonon scattering on the paramagnetic levels of the rare-earth Ce3+ ions.
