В статье анализируется персонажный концепт «человек долга», сконструированный русскоязычным автором К.И. Новоселовой. Образ героя раскрывается всесторонне: через его гражданскую позицию, чувство ответственности, профессиональную преданность и ежедневную самоотдачу. В романе «Звезда Альтаир» формирование этого концепта тесно связано с культурно-историческим контекстом Самарканда начала XX века, в частности, с археологическими исследованиями и пробуждением интереса к историческому наследию региона.
