This article evaluates the predictive role of insulin resistance and inflammatory biomarkers in patients with acute ischemic stroke. The study demonstrates that biomarker concentrations vary across stroke subtypes and that insulin resistance is associated with elevated inflammatory activity and poorer functional outcomes.
