This article explores the infectious vulnerability of athletes and the current approaches to mitigate it. The authors analyze the spectrum of pathogens in sports environments, including viruses, bacteria, and fungi, along with transmission mechanisms. The role of PCR and viral load quantification is highlighted, as well as the importance of microbiota and immunological changes caused by physical stress. The integration of digital tools, artificial intelligence, and mobile applications for personalized infectious risk monitoring is emphasized. Recommendations are provided for infection control strategies, rehabilitation protocols, and building a sustainable, multidisciplinary infection prevention system in sports institutions.
