Annotatsiya

Athletic training induces cardiovascular adaptations that depend on sex and sport type. Cyclic sports (canoeing, cycling) promote eccentric hypertrophy, while game sports (volleyball, judo) lead to mixed adaptations. A total of 66 athletes (aged 16-17) were examined: canoeing (n=20), cycling (n=22), volleyball (n=ll), judo (n=13). Measurements included left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), end-systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular mass (LVM), LVM index (LVMI), ejection fraction (EF), end-diastolic volume (EDV), end-systolic volume (ESV), and E/A ratio. Statistical analysis was performed using t-tests and ANOVA (p < 0.05). The highest LVEDD (50.6 ± 5.0 mm) and LVM (159.0 ± 47.6 g) were observed in canoeing. Males had larger LVEDD (+3-5 mm) and LVM (+40-60 g) than females (p < 0.05). Cyclic sports exhibited greater hypertrophy than game sports (p < 0.05). LVESD was similar across groups (31.1-31.9 mm). Volleyball showed the highest E/A ratio (2.3 ± 0.2).
