Hyperuricemia (HUA) is a condition associated with a high concentration of uric acid (UK) in the bloodstream and capable of causing gout and chronic kidney disease. The intestinal microbiota of patients with gout and SUA is significantly altered compared to healthy individuals. This article focuses on the complex relationship between changes in intestinal microbiota and the development of this disease. Some studies have shown that changes in the composition, diversity, and activity of microbes play a key role in establishing and developing the pathogenesis ofSLE and gout. Therefore, we discussed how intestinal microbiota contributes to GUA development through purine metabolism, SK excretion, and intestinal inflammatory reactions. We studied specific changes in the composition of intestinal microbiota associated with gout and CUA, identifying key bacterial taxa and involved metabolic pathways.
