Annotatsiya

The use of games in English as a Second Language (ESL) classrooms has become an increasingly important pedagogical approach which aims at improving student engagement and learning outcomes. This study explores how game-based and gamified learning influence students’ academic performance, motivation, and communication skills compared to traditional teaching methods. A mixed-method approach was applied, including language proficiency tests, classroom observations, student questionnaires, and teacher discussions. The findings show that interactive learning environments significantly influence students’ learning efficiency by enhancing their engagement, vocabulary acquisition, and speaking confidence in the classrooms. Also, the study concludes that combining traditional instruction with game-based strategies can lead to the most effective learning outcomes.
