The article analyzes the history of translating James Joyce’s novel «Ulysses» into Uzbek, highlighting key stages and challenges of rendering the modernist style and numerous literary allusions. Specialattention is given to contributions by translators and critics such as Ibrahim Gafurov and the complete translations by Khinkis and Khoruzhy. The significance of the Uzbek translation for cultural dialogue and literarydevelopment in the region is emphasized.
