Annotatsiya

The article examines the systemic organization of negative evaluation in the proverb fund of theUzbek and Russian languages. It identifies the key concepts of negative evaluativity, the linguocultural mechanisms of their expression, and the pragmatic functions performed by proverbs in the socio-communicativecontext. Special attention is given to the cognitive models of interpreting evil, mistakes, vices, and moral deviations represented in the linguistic consciousness of both nations. A comparative analysis is conducted toreveal the semantic and cultural features that form stable stereotypes of negative evaluation.
