This article discusses the methodological aspects of statistical assessment of fertility and mortality of the population. The study analyzes modern methods of assessing demographic processes and examines their application in the conditions of Uzbekistan. The results make it possible to identify the most effective methods for determining fertility and mortality rates and develop recommendations aimed at improving them.
