The presented study analyzes the problems of metabolic syndrome in dental patients. In the present work, the features of the condition of periodontal tissues in patients with metabolic syndrome are fully revealed, using advanced medical methods of effective and early diagnosis. The study of the condition of periodontal tissues, the composition of oral fluid in patients with metabolic syndrome, from the standpoint of the disclosure of etiopathogenetic mechanisms of chronic generalized periodontitis. Special attention is paid to the study of the role of disorders in the concentration of elastase, protein-bound oxyproline, and glycosaminoglycans in oral fluid in patients with periodontitis on the background of MS in the pathogenesis of periodontitis
