A method for forming models of traumatic neuritis on an experimental model of an acute injury of the inferior alveolar nerve is proposed. The authors analyzed the ultrastructural changes in the nerve fiber on the third, tenth and thirtieth days. On the third day after the injury, we observed a violation of intrasystemic hemomicrocirculation caused by increased vascular permeability. By the 10th day of the experiment, degenerative and inflammatory processes predominated in the perineural tissue and the nerve fiber itself. On the 30th day after damage to the neurovascular bundle of the inferior alveolar nerve, degenerative and inflammatory phenomena in the nerve fiber gave way to degenerative and sclerotic processes.
