The article dwells on a brief survey of Middle Asian written sources on the history of Bukhara emirate of the second half of the XVIII-th - the first half of the XIX-th centuries. Alongside with the compositions already known in science the author gives a brief characteristic of historical treatises introduced into science recently; here refer: the work of the famous enlightener of the end of the XIX- th- the beginning of the XX-th century Ahmad Donish “HISTORY OF THE MANGYT DYNASTY” Historians, impartially, objectively and creatively referring to historical facts, mainly to primary sources, illuminated political, socio-economic and cultural life, revealed the essence of the politics of various dynasties of Central Asian khanates, generalized the national and religious values of society. The handwritten depositories of Central Asia contain a significant number of historical chronicles dedicated to the history of the Bukhara Khanate of the 16th-19th centuries.
