This article is devoted to the study of the role of women in medicine and the healthcare system of Uzbekistan in the post-war years, particularly in the field of maternal and child health. The article analyzes problems related to limited medical services, underdeveloped infrastructure, and a shortage of medical personnel in rural areas. Using the examples of pediatricians and midwives such as Musallam Sharafutdinova and Bibioysha Khojambergenova, the article highlights the significance of women in the healthcare system. It also examines their contribution to improving public health through practical work, prevention, education, scientific research, and community engagement. The study demonstrates the role of women in medicine, their dedication to the profession, and their substantial contribution to the medical and social development of the republic.
