Based on the analysis of written sources and accounts by ancient authors, this article examines topical issues regarding the period of formation and dominance of the Seleucid State in Central Asia. It explores the military, economic, and political influence of the Greco-Macedonian ethnic group on the indigenous peoples of Transoxiana. The author draws upon written records from the works of ancient historians within the framework of the Seleucid State’s history and its role in the history of the peoples of Central Asia. The article describes the stages of the formation and development of the Seleucid State and its impact on the course of historical events during the period under review. Furthermore, it outlines the events and historical patterns of the symbiosis between the Greco-Macedonians and the indigenous populations of Transoxiana within the context of the general trends in Hellenistic history.
