Annotatsiya

This article is dedicated to the industrial cities of the Tashkent region that emerged as a result of the industrialization policy pursued by the Soviet government in Uzbekistan in the 20th century, and covers the history of the cities of Bekabad, Almalyk, Chirchik, and Angren. The article analyses the conclusions of scientific expeditions conducted by Soviet scientists, along with the factors that led to the emergence of these cities. In this regard, using the example of the industrial cities of the Tashkent region, the policy of the Soviet government to turn Uzbekistan into a source of raw materials and manage its economy from the centre is revealed.
