In this article, during the beginning of the 20th-21st centuries, the main approach and research methods used by Iranian archaeologists and historians in the issue of archaeological monuments in the Turan region were analyzed. Emphasis was placed on the nature and characteristics of the approaches and methods used in the course of research. To clarify the issue, Persian-language publications on Turanian archeology in Iran were analyzed.
