Мақолада Хоразмда дафн маросимларида бошқа худудларга ўхшамаган урф-одатлар ва маросимлар ўтказилиши ёритилган. Унинг ўзига хос хусусияти асосан аёллар даврасида олиб борилиши билан ҳам боғлиқдир. Хоразмда аёллар орасидаги дафн маросимлари ва у билан боғлиқ барча маъракаларда халфалар иштирок этишади. Халфалар иштирок этишида асосан дафн маросимларида “уч кунлик”, “етти кунлик”, “қирқ кунлик” ва “бир йиллик” тадбирлар ўтказилади. Бутун воҳада диний халфалар асли маълум мадраса ёки хусусий мактабларда таълим олган бўлиши билан бирга ҳукумат томонидан берилган йўриқнома асосида иш олиб боришлари ҳақида хулосалар баён этилган.
