The purpose of this article is to analyze the processes of transition from a one-party to a multi-party system, the formation of social political movements and political parties on the eve of gaining independence in Uzbekistan. based on historical data and formulating appropriate conclusions. And also, the process of formation of public associations, political parties and movements, formed in the last years of the twentieth century in order to express the interests of various public groups, their goals and objectives, activities, the elimination of the Communist Party of Uzbekistan are analyzed.
