In the article under consideration, based on sources, namely memoirs of Russian travelers, diplomatic ambassadors, military and scientific literature. The article considers the foreign policy of the Bukhara Khanate with Russia in the XVII century, including the relationship between the ambassadors of the two states. In the XVII century, the Bukhara Khanate was one of the leading states of the East. The Bukhara Khanate had close trade relations with Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, China and Turkey. It should be noted that the cities located along the Great Silk Road, such as Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva, have created unique masterpieces of various spheres of human culture. Favorable geographical location and competent foreign policy played an important role in the formation of the Bukhara Khanate as the center of Central Asia. In addition, trade and cultural relations with the countries of the Asian and European continents were conducted through Bukhara.
