Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is one of the most common non-infectious diseases in the world. In the article, the authors carried out an analytical review of the literature data substantiating the development of thrombotic complications against the background of this pathology. The authors give as an evidence several mechanisms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, such as hypoxia, systemic inflammation, oxidative stress, smoking, which can lead to activation of the body's coagulation system. Also, the article provides information on comorbid pathology, and its role in the development of hypercoagulable complications in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
