Relevance: Obesity is a significant global health issue requiring effective treatment methods. This study evaluates the impact of liraglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonist, on non-diabetic obese patients. Purpose: To assess the effects of liraglutide on weight loss and cardiometabolic parameters. Materials and Methods: The study involved 20 patients receiving liraglutide for 12 weeks. Key indicators included weight loss and changes in cardiometabolic parameters. Results: Liraglutide-treated patients showed a weight reduction of 5.8%, with fasting glucose decreasing by 8.4%. Triglycerides decreased by 12%, and systolic blood pressure dropped by 5 mm Hg. Conclusion: Liraglutide is an effective and safe drug for weight loss and improving cardiometabolic health.
