Iodine deficiency diseases are diseases associated with iodine deficiency and are classified by WHO (World Health Organization) as non-communicable diseases that are widespread all over the world. According to WHO, in 2015, more than 2 billion people, one third of whom were school–age children, did not consume enough iodine. Every year, 38 million children are born with a risk of iodine deficiency. Nodular goiter is one of the most common diseases, which, despite the achievements of scientific and technological progress, still remains a little-studied problem of modern medicine. The purpose of the study. To show and analyze the experience of using ACR TIRADS and Bethesda systems in the practice of thyroid surgery and the role of these systems in the premature detection of thyroid cancer. Research materials and methods. The source of the study was the medical history, information recorded in the operating journals and outpatient records of 80 patients who underwent surgery on the thyroid gland in the Khorezm branch of the RSSPMCE and in the clinic "Senter zdorovya " in Urgench. Research results . A correlation was revealed between the results of preoperative assessment using these systems and the results of pathohistological examination.
