Annotatsiya

TORCH infections occupy a leading place among the causes of perinatal pathology and neuropsychological developmental disorders in early childhood. Intrauterine infection has an adverse effect on the formation of the fetal central nervous system (CNS), which may manifest as delayed psychomotor development, muscle tone abnormalities, seizure syndrome, decreased hearing and vision, as well as cognitive impairments. To study the neuropsychological development of children in the first year of life born to mothers with TORCH infection. A total of 40 children were examined. The first group consisted of 17 newborns aged 0–10 days. The second, outpatient group included 23 children: 10 children aged 30 days to 3 months and 13 children aged 9–12 months. Group I (17 newborns) was examined in the neonatal department in Andijan. Group II consisted of preterm infants (32–34 weeks of gestation) examined in a polyclinic setting. In children of the first year of life born to mothers with TORCH infection, signs of perinatal CNS damage of varying severity are frequently detected. The clinical picture may include motor impairment syndrome, delayed development of speech and emotional responses, and impaired adaptive mechanisms. The severity of abnormalities depends on the timing of infection during pregnancy, the type of pathogen, and the timeliness of treatment. Early detection of neuropsychological developmental disorders, dynamic follow-up, and comprehensive rehabilitation are key factors in improving the prognosis in this group of children.
