The article examines a variety of games in teaching a foreign language at a university, as well as game activities and their classification. Examples of games in a foreign language lesson with different stages of work with students are given. A description of a variety of game techniques used by many teachers in foreign language lessons with students of non-linguistic specialties is offered.
