Due to the relevance of questions to clarify the involvement etiopathogenic microorganisms in causing diseases of the respiratory system, we carried out a retrospective study for the period 2001-2007 and on determining the priority positions of causative agents of microbial landscape of smears taken from the posterior pharyngeal wall in patients with diseases of the upper respiratory tract. The frequency analysis of the occurrence of certain microorganisms in the 7–year and 29–year time interval in Almaty is described. The role of pneumococci today in dynamics is presented, which substantiated the urgency of studying the problem, with an emphasis on the identification stage.
