This article analyzes the formation, essence, and significance of the anthropocentric scientific paradigm in modern linguistics. The principle of anthropocentrism presupposes studying language as an integral part of human activity, cognition, and culture. In linguistics, this approach interprets language not only as a means of communication but also as a system that reflects human worldview, emotional state, and social experience. The paper discusses linguistic branches based on the anthropocentric paradigm, such as cognitive linguistics, pragmalinguistics, and linguoculturology. Special attention is given to the scientific importance of studying national mentality and culture through language. The findings demonstrate that the anthropocentric approach plays a crucial role in modern linguistics, helping to deepen the understanding of the human factor and the interrelation between language and thought.
