The article presents data on the technical characteristics of a vertical-spindle cotton harvesting machine. It ensures that, on cotton fields with a row spacing of 60 cm and a boll opening rate of 85–90%, the cotton picking completeness reaches up to 93%, crop losses are about 3–4%, and the contamination level of cotton in the bunker does not exceed 8% in a single pass.
