This paper presents an analysis of studies devoted to the dynamics of composite working bodies of cotton cleaning machines. Existing theoretical and experimental studies on the processes of bending and torsional vibrations of saw cylinders and working bodies with saw–spacer disk assemblies are reviewed. The current state of research is evaluated on determining the mechanical parameters of composite working bodies, particularly the investigation of their dynamic processes,. Based on the analysis of previous studies, is substantiated the necessity of applying modern methods for determining the stiffness of saw–spacer disk assemblies, accounting for the influence of compressive forces, as well as methods for calculating bending and torsional vibrations. The possibilities of increasing are demonstrated the strength, reliability, and operational performance of composite working bodies through the improvement of their dynamic characteristics.
