This article discusses various approaches to defining the concept of administrative justice. The essence of administrative justice is analyzed on the basis of the experience of the Republic of France, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author compares the Uzbek model of administrative justice with foreign models. Special attention is paid to the determination of the legal status of administrative courts in the system of public authorities of these countries and their activities are analyzed on the basis of the norms of legislation. The author of the article considers administrative courts as a reliable tool that guarantees the protection the citizens’ rights and legitimate interests. The article contains scientific views of both national and foreign experts in the field of administrative law regarding the definition of the essence of administrative justice.
