The article, based on the analysis of forensic expert activity, examines the problems of this activity in order to determine their causes. To address such problems, proposals were made for organizing forensic expertise, providing forensic institutions with qualified specialists to conduct repeated or complex forensic examinations, training forensic experts, improving the forensic workload and cooperation between judicial institutions.
