In today’s globalized society, euphemisms play an important role in the formation of speech culture. The article discusses the fast that euphemisms are one of the tools that shape students’ speech culture.Ways to enrich the speech of young people with euphemistic units are shown. Linguistic features of euphemism and disephemism are also described.Examples of English and Uzbek euphemisms characteristic of artistic, journalistic and conversational style are given. There are ideas about teaching students to use euphemisms in their native language and English language classes and applying them in the culture of speech.
