This article describes a pedagogical experiment aimed at improving the physical fitness of university students through a specially developed set of exercises. Training sessions for the experimental group were conducted systematically according to the designed program. When performing various running movements, it is important to execute the push-off action of the leg near the bodyʼs center of mass, particularly in the area of the hip joint. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop the reflex activity of the foot tendons. Taking into account the studentsʼ academic physical standards, a set of special large-amplitude exercises was developed and implemented in practice to enhance the effectiveness of short-distance running, standing long jump, and throwing exercises. The results obtained demonstrated the effectiveness of this exercise complex and its positive impact on the studentsʼ level of physical fitness.
