Annotatsiya

Since disorders of motor system are the most common cause of disability and falls in patients after stroke, an important issue was and remains the prediction of recovery of motor functions after a stroke. Various authors in their works write that the initial state of motor disorders of the upper limb is the most influential predictor of recovery of the upper limb. Early prediction of motor recovery is difficult, especially in patients with severe initial impairment, and the degree of corticospinal tract (CST) injury may be associated with motor outcomes in these patients. Neuronal plasticity is closely related to the integrity of the CST, and poor motor outcome is expected in cases of extensive CST impairment registered by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This review will consider several clinical scales that are used by the community to assess the regression of motor deficits.
