The treatment of pediatric urolithiasis is one of the most difficult tasks in urology. The introduction of new technological and advanced techniques has led to significant changes in the surgical treatment of urolithiasis in children. Miniaturization technologies and minimally invasive approaches are increasingly being used in children with urinary stones to minimize surgical complications and improve patient outcomes. The wide range of options offered by these technological innovations in the adult population are finding increasing use in pediatrics, offering more detailed visualization of small anatomical structures. The widespread use of technology and the demonstration of its efficacy and safety will ultimately improve pediatric patient tactics and management and the development of new guidelines and new gold standards. This review presents the current methods of surgical treatment of urolithiasis in children and their results.
