To study the quantitative indicators of cytokines in severe and moderate forms of hemolytic escherichiosis, a clinical and laboratory examination of 28 patients was carried out. The study included children aged 6 months to 5 years. A study of the cytokine profile showed that a systemic inflammatory process occurs with escherichiosis, moreover, the infectious process continues until the period of convalescence. This is explained by a significant increase in IL-6 and their preservation until the recovery period. Normalization of IL-8 concentration in patients with escherichiosis during convalescence indicated recovery without the development of specific complications.
