This article examines the transformation of self-governance institutions based on a sociological approach. It analyzes the role, functions, and influence of these institutions on social relations within the structure of society. It also explores their development trends in the context of democratic reforms from both empirical and theoretical perspectives. The interrelationship between institutional changes, social factors, and the legal framework is explained from a sociological point of view. The study identifies existing problems and the possibilities which eliminates in society. The results serve as a basis for developing scientific conclusions and recommendations for improving self-governance institutions.
