This article examines the main socio-economic factors influencing the development of the education system in Uzbekistan at the school, professional and higher education levels. The analysis of the relationship between educational policy, economic conditions and labor market requirements is carried out. Special attention is paid to the integration of school, vocational and higher education in the context of human capital formation and youth employment. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents and statistical data, the directions of improving the educational system are proposed, taking into account regional peculiarities and socio-economic trends of the country. The author examines the interaction of universities between employers and developers of educational and vocational training programs. The results of the assessment of the relevance of the vocational education and training system in terms of labor market requirements are presented.
