This article comprehensively examines the formation, historical development, and scholarly study of Uzbek folk proverbs in the fields of folklore and linguistics. It analyzes the role of proverbs in the people's worldview, national culture, and spiritual heritage. The paper also provides detailed information on the collection, publication, and systematization of proverbs, as well as the scholarly contributions of folklorists and linguists who have studied them. Furthermore, the use of Uzbek proverbs in literary works and their significance for the study of the history of the Uzbek language are discussed from a scientific perspective.
