Paremiological units such as proverbs, sayings and aphorisms are an integral part of any linguistic component and are an invaluable tool for understanding the history, lifestyle, culture and mentality of the people speaking in a particular language. Paremiological units in English serve as a vivid example of the understanding of the linguistic world picture by English-speaking peoples, where the paremiological fund in the Uzbek language is a whole structure that embodies the national and cultural characteristics of the Uzbek people. Anthropocentric aspects focused on the human factor are of great importance in paremiological units in the English and Uzbek languages. This article provides a comparative analysis of the expression of anthropocentrism in paremiological units in English and Uzbek from a linguostatistical point of view, based on the minimum paremiological fund of these languages.
